History
Since 1921, the family owned and managed company HAENEL was devoted to develop user-friendly, specific personal protection at risky workplaces.
Already in those days, the company lived by the principles of modern corporate philosophy: the customer is the focal point, and his satisfaction has top priority.
The large-scale production of radiation and welder protection products conquered the world market in the 1930s, and Haenel became an international leader with its MAVIG products.
In 1983, MAVIG created the foundation of the company’s future with the new factory premises in the industrial area Moosfeld in Munich. The most modern production and administration facilities are extended on more than 5000sqm, offering adequate space for further development and innovation.
As a leader in meeting the new EU directives, by mid 1995, all MAVIG products were already certified to the EU Medicinal Product Directives and the EU Directive for Personal Safety Gear, bearing the corresponding CE Symbol. Quality management was also successfully installed in the company according to EN ISO 9001 and EN 46001.
The complete identification of company and product is clearly demonstrated in 1999 by converting the company from Hänel GmbH into MAVIG GmbH.
