MAVIG history
History
Since 1921, the family owned and managed company HAENEL was devoted to develop user-friendly, specific personal protection at risky workplaces.
Already in those days, the company lived by the principles of modern corporate philosophy: the customer is the focal point, and his satisfaction has top priority.
The large-scale production of radiation and welder protection products conquered the world market in the 1930s, and Haenel became an international leader with its MAVIG products.
In 1983, MAVIG created the foundation of the company’s future with the new factory premises in the industrial area Moosfeld in Munich. The most modern production and administration facilities are extended on more than 5000sqm, offering adequate space for further development and innovation.
As a leader in meeting the new EU directives, by mid 1995, all MAVIG products were already certified to the EU Medicinal Product Directives and the EU Directive for Personal Safety Gear, bearing the corresponding CE Symbol. Quality management was also successfully installed in the company according to EN ISO 9001 and EN 46001.
The complete identification of company and product is clearly demonstrated in 1999 by converting the company from Hänel GmbH into MAVIG GmbH.

MAVIG develops, produces and distributes from its location in Munich. From this one and only fabrication premises, MAVIG develops its international activities, backed by a steady investment in procedure-oriented technology and in the capacity of our employees. All disciplines under one roof, active exchange and development of knowledge.

Research and development
Our future is the research and development activity. MAVIG develops almost all its products and most of MAVIG products are patented (ceiling suspension systems, monitor suspensions, radiation protection etc.)

Through complex research and tests we are able to assure a sain working process for the medical personnel, with the highest environmental and toxicological safety possible.
The basis therefor are the sound choice of materials and suppliers, stringent control of the production procedures and the training of our employees.
All of the MAVIG products are life-cycle tested and are released only after the derivation of extern certifications.
Long-term and authentic partnerships based on trustfully cooperation are elementary to the vertical integration of our quality management.

Quality management and certificates
MAVIG is QMS-certified according to 89/686/EEC EEC (Personal Protection Guideline) and ISO 13485-2003.
MAVIG Ceiling Suspension Systems meet all CE-requirements and most of the MAVIG Ceiling Suspension Systems are UL-listed or -registered.
Additional TUeV, IEC, FDA, Seismic, etc. -certificates exist or can be produced upon request.
